I want to develop a reservation system database(just like at indian railways ticketing counters)using oracle in which i can connect 2 computers by networkingcan u plz suggest which languages in oracle i should useand what applications of those would help me

As u said tht u will use only two computers....., Visual basic will be very good opt for u to use....bye :-)

Hi,

You can use any type of webapplications for this task.

I think ASp/JSP will be of great use and benefit.

Keep database(SQLServer or Oracle) and your IIS/Weblogic on one dedicated machine for server activities.

Prepare your dev machine on which you do your coding, install any Visual IDE if required for debugging,

But i think individually you do the complete testing on one machine..

Then categorize and expand the network for better performance.
