Recovery Testing --- In this Testing we force the software or system to fail in various ways and verify the recovery is properly performed or not?

We check 1] Is recovery by Manual or Automated?

              2] After recovery, software or system operate properly or   not? (Data is recoverd after a system failure & no corruption of the data occured.)

                3] How much time it take to recover the system or software.

This type of testing we called Recovery Testing.

Recovery testing test for recovery of application if there is any failure in application.It see for recovery time and human interation.The application should recover automatically and within acceptable time with no any loss of data and usefull information.
