Dynamic Data Exchange where data can be passed from Vb application to another application(MS Word, MS Excel and so on). This is slower compared to the COM today.

DDE is Dynamic Data exchange you can link a vb application to another application such as pagemaker or other to perform data excahnge please refer to linkexecute or linktimeout properties of textbox
