The best example of powder metallaurgy is the cutting tools like insert you use for material removal.In  this tungsten powders are compacted to the required shape and are then baked(sintered) at a tempertaure below its melting point to bind it.

Powder technology involves the production of metal powders;compacting these powders to required shape by application of pressure and heat.
Cu-Pb(cu and Pb dont mix in molten state) Bearings,tungsten(a refractory material) filaments,etc are prepared by powder mettalurgy.
