12 hours 1st face contains the totall space

  Was this answer useful?  Yes

ans :: 39explain :: the digits shown in the clock are 1,2,3........12. their total sum is 1+2+3+....12 = 78. since it is given that sum of one bigger part is equal to total sum of another 2 smaller parts.=> bigger part = 78/2 = 39.

actuallly the give condition is (2*smaller part)+bigger part = totoal sum of hoursthen solving we get 78/4=19.5 hours the small part will be 19.5,and the bigger part will be 39..... i think this the right answer....

the clock normally has 12 hr

three parts x,y,z

x+y+z=12

x=y+z

2x=12

x=6

so the largest part is 6 hrs

let x be the bigger part  y and z  are  smaller parts
x+y+z=78 and x=y+z so sub y+z=x in x+y+z=78  we  get  2x=78
so x=78/2=39
Ans is 39

Normally the clock is having 12-Hours clock.
Hence no. of hours = 12.
The given condition is
   hr1 + hr2 + hr3 = 12   &    hr2 + hr3 = hr1
So,
   2 * (hr2 + hr3)  =  12
   hr2 + hr3  =  6
i.e. hr1 = No. of hours in first part = 6 hours.

If the clock is of military pattern i.e. 24-Hours then the answer will be 12 hours.

hey guyz they didnt ask the no of digits.,
they ask for total no. of hours.,
1+2+...12=78;

x1+x2+x3=78;
gn: (x1+x2)=x3;
so,
2*x3=78;
78/2=x3;
so, x3=39;

Ans:39;
