SIMPLE FORMULA

M1*D1*H1*E1/W1 =  M2*D2*H2*E2/W2

M1 = NO OF MEN

H1 = NO OF HOURS

D1 = NO OF DAYS

E1 = EFFICIENCY

W1 = WORK DONE

THUS  3*12/1 = 9*2/W2

W2 = 1/2

In simple terms

9 persons can do the work in 4 days (3 x 12 = 9 x 4)

So, they can do HALF of the work in 2 days
