at 0900 hrs 2 trains leave: one from mum and other from pat. so now n=1.next day at 0900 hrs another train leaves pat. so now n=22nd day at 0900 hrs another train leaves pat. so now n=33rd day at 0900 hrs another train leaves pat but the train from mum is yet to reach patna (arr. 0930hrs). hence it crosses this train as well. then n=4. Ans.

Let the train start on day X at 9. Then

It'll meet a train which started on X-3 from Patna at 9.30..

So obiviosly it meets the train started on X-2... ....till X+3.

It meets de last train half an hour before it reach Patna..

(It may be confusing, think logically You'll understand)
