i think i have got 2nd , 3rd , 5th ,6th , 8th 9th , 11th , ques

if anyone has got any doubt or thinks i m wrong somewhere than plz send ur clarifications to turtle_abhinav@yahoo.co.in

ANS :-2nd

let value of ordinary share be rs x.

let only 1 ordinary share and 1 preffered share r there.

than the total investement will be rs (4000000+x)

total rupees to be given to shareholders is (4000000+x)*6/100

rupees recieved by preffered shareholders is 4000000*7.5/100 = 300000

than the profit recieved by ordinary share holders will be rs (total-300000)

which is equal to 5% of money invested by them i.e   rs x*5/100

so the eq becomes      5x/100 = 6(4000000+x)/100  -  300000

which gives     x =  6000000

ANS  :- 3rd

this is a very simple question we just have to get the correct quadractic equation

let the age be  x

then the ques says  "If seven times five and three times seven is added to my age"

therefore eq becomes  :  62+x

next it says "it would be as far above six nines and four " which is equal to 58

next one says " as the difference between twice of my age and a score. Given-A score is 20 yrs
which gives    2x-20

so the equation becomes   :  62+x-58=2x-20

on solving we get   x=24

ANS :-5th

this is a tricky but a easy ques

firstly we have to consider that they r sitting on a round table which makes it moe harder if they r sitting on a rectangular table it will be moe easy

firstly write down the original order

abhishek , amol , ankur , anurag , bhuvan , vasu & vikram

on 2nd day vikram can sit close to abhishek with only 1 person between them

so we can have

vikram ,_____ , abhishek , ____ , _____ , _____, ____.

so the place of 2 has been set , now as abhishek cant sit with amol so we take anurag to sit on his left and ankur onhis right

vikram , anurag , abhishek , ankur , ____ , ____ , ____.

vasu can sit on right of ankur followed by anmol and bhuvan.

so the final sitting plan on 2nd day will be

vikram , anurag , abhishek , ankur , vasu , anmol & bhuvan.

for the 3rrd day plan just give vikram extremely left position and keep on striking 4 people for a particular one then we will have a arrangement as

3rd day:- vikram , ankur , bhuwan , abhishek , vasu , anurag , amol.

ANs :-6th

'b' is taller

as all 500 men arranged in 10 rows and 50 columns

when the tallest person among each row is asked to move out then the smallest among them will be last person of first row

while

when the smallest person among all rows is asked to move out then the tallest among them will be the first person of 10th row who is obviously taller than any person of firat row

 ANS :- 8

        table is     2   2   _   _   _    1

                      2    _   _   1    2   4

                       2  _    _    _   3   7

if team a has got 2 on 2 wins than it cant have any draws or losses

similarly team b  3 has 1 draw and it has conceded more goals so it cant have any win

for team c 1 draw is there with b and a lost with a for no. of goals add all the goals conceded and no. of goals for they should be equal

so the table becomes

team a : 2   2   0   0   7   1

team b:  2   0   1   1   2   4

team c:  2   0   1   1   3   7

ANS 9th:-

there are 1 rabbit , 1 cat and 1 fish

u can check it out

ANS:-11

3 clocks r there

lets take 12 o'clock as the refrence time

everyday 1 min is subtracted form 1st clock and imin is added to third

then the next time all 3 shows 12 o'clock again will be   (60*12) days

which is   720 days.

i m working on the rest

looking forward to ur response
