Creativity is an inborn ability. And creativity will lead to innovation. Finding a problem itself is a creative feat. Finding a solution for it generally comes from our existing knowledge. Thus is may not be considered creative, as creativity involves doing different things.

Its not just about doing things differently but through novell'ty. Look through what all things you have changed in your work experience like I created a Team Page for knowledge sharing at my first year, and developed a tools that helped community to debug the problems faster..etc. So this list goes beyond your work, on paper/articles you have submitted and conferences you have participated and WWW forums you are active at (job specific pls :-) ) ..etc This is a endless story if you ask me.. and you should be a sales man of yourself. Good luck guys.

1) As a Total Quality Assurance manager, I have conceptualized and produced a number of innovative processes that reduced costs in my company.

2) As a Software Test Engineer, it was my job to consider new and creative ways to expose an application in order to discover and report defects.

3) As a Singer/Songwriter, I must apply creativity to express familiar and predictable concepts in novel and unpredictable ways.

Well I think I have done a lot of things but none meets the creativeness invloved in actually giving this answer...

If you are facing this question in an interview, come up with every possible thing you think is new or anything you suggested to be done.  Any Report or any good thing that might be interesting enough yet related to your field..
