Reinforcement in beam

Why do we provide extra reinfocement bars at the end portion of beam?and how we can calculate the amount of reinfocement?

At the end of the beam there will be a hogging moment due to the resistance by the fixed supports hence steel being good in tension is placed in both upper as well as lower ends

because at the supports normally share force accrued, so extra bars provided on ends to minimize the sharing.

the end zone is shear zone thats y we r providing a extra bar at end of the beams.
