Expression for bending moment in terms of distance 'x' measured from left end:

= -(Mx/L)          ; 0<=x<L/2
=-(Mx/L) + M     ; L/2<=x<=L

Triangular variation
x=l/2 is point of contraflexure

Considering that moment 'M' acts clockwise at the mid point of beam of length L
