A farmer has C chickens. A sack of feed comes for 9 days. As the feed cost is increasing the farmer sells some chickens and retains 12 chicken. If he reduces the feed quantity by 10% .Then he observes that the feed comes for 30 days. What is C?

Before the farmer sells the chickens, each chicken would have consumed 1/(1 sack*c*9) of the feed per day.
now he reduces the feed by 10% therefore feed is 0.9 of the sack, number of chicken = 12, lasts for 30 days. now each chicken consumes 1/(12*0.9*30) per day

equating both, we get 36
