This question is not in clear.. and most probably the Testing Process is differ for each company..accordingly to my knowledge we go through the BDD (Req doc) and next we prepare the FTO's and next go to full fledge tesing..

Thanks for your reply.

I'm new in testing, So what I meant by that, is which type of documents we need, what is the process and steps and how we learn our application even before we start testing. I will really appreciate your help can u plz explain in detail.  Thanks alot.

We first go through the requirements document and especially use cases and process flow to understand the application.

Based on the use cases we write test cases and manually execute them (for manual testing).

Hi daryl

Before starting testing we need BDD documents. From these documents we can get the Usecase documents, SO using Usecases we will know the functional flow of an application. Next we will have a idea about the application and prepare FTO's from those documents.

If we don't have the documents then simply go through the application and get the functional knowledge of that application. So then we are able to write the test cases and able to test the application. This is only my own knowledge.

Do I mean that what do V do before testing or

Do I mean that after getting the functional doc ?. What can u be little bit precise

So if my manager gives me test cases

And ask me to automate

What are the steps that I should flow?

Secondly how can I know the flow of the application?

As u gave the answer but I want it very detail
