Clock strikes once at 1:00, twice at 2:00 & so on. if it takes 6 sec to strikes at 5:00 & 12 sec to strike at 9:00 & also time to strike at 1:00 is negligible than find time spent to strike for 24 hours.

it takes 6 sec to strikes at 5:00
1st strike is negligible, we have 4 strikes in 6 sec.
so for 1 strike 6/4 sec=3/2sec(same as in the case of 9oclock)
total strikes in 24 hrs=2*(1+2+3+4+5+6+7+8+9+10+11)
                              =2*66
so required time       =2*66*3/2
                              =198sec
