hi,

one more method is Testing Matrix, which is nothing but a table index, which shows the result of Equivalence Range methods results, for example

assume that your application is behaving as similar for some range of values, then take the range of values on columns side and test cases on row side, show the result in matrix form

diagram

                                           range1          range2         range3

                    Test CaseA          Pass            Fail              Fail

                    Test CaseB          Fail              Pass            Fail

                    Test CaseC          Fail             Fail              Pass

if any other methods found, then please share the knowledge to zameer_india@yahoo.com

Hi All

Only way is thru metrics. There are diff metrics for different phases. Some of the metrics are defect rate, test case pass % and so on.

We should follow Requirement Tracebility Matrix. If u follow other methods we may not meet client requirement and we can't deliver Quality product/application to ur client

Hi,

Based upon the UseCase document .. in use case we can find the Requirement ids for each and every functionality....

I suppose you don't need a traceability matrix to map test cases to requirements.  A traceability matrix is just a tool to help you organize your data based on some useful attributes and guidelines.  When I think about possible alternative methods and begin examining ways to make the process efficient and effective, they all begin looking like a traceability matrix.
