In my understanding, BA is not supposed to make a SRS, as it contains technical details about the system, the system capabilities, scope etc

As a BA you need to be proficient in documentation. If we speak regarding documents we should write SRS,BRD,FRD

The documents that a BA prepare are
BRD, FRD for maintaining a healthy relationship between the stake holder and BA, racci matrix is also prepared.
BA can also maintain the tracability matrix for the information that is captured during the project so that the information can be accessed back and forth
