Prioritization, multitasking and time management are the characteristics one must possess as it is the vital requirement of this position. I am proficient in prioritizing my tasks on a regular basis and then performing multitasking as per the need of the time.

The interviewer is asking for an example not for a vague answer. That's why the question contains "..about a time.."

I'm sure in your experience, you should have had a time when you had lots of work more than you could chew. Just give that example. I'm sure a week before production release; sole QA handling 4-5 small or medium size projects etc are common examples of pressurizing times.

Tell the interviewer that you were able to come out successfully because you has prioritized your tasks, effectively managed your time, and proactively (without anyone asking you) put in extra hours to reach the deadline.
