Operation of Transistor

Assume we have biased a transistor at the point Icq=5ma, Vceq=5v. We have base pin resistor and collector pin resistor and the emitter is connected to Vcc=10v. Assume two steps:
1. In this situation we disconnect the collector pin. How we can calculate the value of base and emitter currents? I know this value is small.
2. If again we connect the collector pin to load resistor,the value of emitter and collector currents increases. What is the reason for this increment of current?
