One year payment to the servant is Rs. 200 plus one shirt. The servant leaves after 9 months and recieves Rs.
120 and a shirt.Then find the price of the shirt.

Price of Shirt is RS.150.

Explanation:
Let d price of shirt be X
12=200+X
9=120+X
adding above two eqns we get
X=150
Logically if we put the above answer to the problem, we get the problem solved.....

Yearly Payment =200 + X.
Payment for 9 months must be 9/12(200+X),Which is 3/4(200+X) if simplified.
But the servant is paid 120 +X (Given in the questionl)
So 3/4(200 + X) = 120 + X.
3(200+ X) = 4(120 + X)
600 + 3X = 480 + 4X.
4X - 3X = 600 - 480.
X = 120.Therefor Price of the shirt is120 Rupees.

12 months payment 200 + shirt
1 month payment 200+ shirt /12
9 months payment (200+shirt/12)* 9

so it comes 9/12(200+shirt)= 120 + shirt (given in question )
solve it and get answer .... it is a shirt cost Rs 120

The servant worked for 9 months instead of 12 months, he should receive 9/12 of his annual payment

i.e., ¾ (200 + 1S).

However, the question states that the servant receive Rs. 120 + 1S where S is the price of the shirt.
By equating the two equations we get ¾ (200 + S) = 120 + S.

Therefore Price of the shirt S = Rs. 120.

12 month=RS 200 so in 1 month=RS 50/3 so in 9 month=he receive RS 150 but he got 120 so the price of shirt should be 30+ something so D will be the answer

150+.75x= 120+x
x=30/.25= 120rs.

80, yearly salary is 200 plus one shirt doesnt mention in with in tha shirt price for tha income so i goes answer in 80
