Test Director 8.0 with Microsoft SQL 2000 problem

Hi There,

Currently we are using Test Director 8.0 with Microsoft SQL 2000 as database server. Recently we have upgraded the db server to Microsoft Sql 2005 and from that day i am not able to log into any of the projects that were created in MS Sql 2000. Neither i am able to log into projects if MS Sql 2005 is the database source. I get following application error -

No DBHandle could be created. ADO Connection problem
(details error is

No DBHandle could be created. ADO Connection problem
CDbConPool::GetDBh -- Unknown error
cursor
BaseCursor::BaseCursor 2768
Session :: GetDBConst
Session :: CheckDBVersion
Unable to connect to the database.
Session::Connect cannot connect to the database)

Does any of the legends here know the resolution for this issue ?

Please do the following Checks:

1) Ping the data base server from the server machine
2) Please check if you are able to connect to the MSSQL server properly from the server machine.
3) If above two are OK/Not-Applicable then see if the database you are connecting to is working fine.

Search for the (Database) Admin User Name and Password you are giving during installation.
Check if Admin User has the right privilages on the database (Check Installation Guide for privilages)
