that is a wrong answer if the 3dr speed is 30 then the avg will - 30 . or it will 37.5....

From the question a person travelled 4 laps with a speed of 10,20,30 (or 40) and 60 kmph.

The above mentioned speed is not tha man travelled concecutive laps it means that he travells at various speed to complete a lap. so he takes an average speed 30kmph to complete a lap thus for 4 laps its 120kmph. hope this is right.

4 laps distance=D+D+D+D
speed=D/10+D/20+D/30+d/60
therefore total speed average=(D+D+D+D)/(D/10)+(D/20)+(D/30)+(D/60)
=4D/(24D/120)..........by LCM
=4D*120/24D
=20.
