Tom wants to catch a hare. He is standing 250 yards south from the hare. The harestarts moving due east.Tom, instead of moving in the northeast direction,moves in such a way that at every instant,he is goingtowards the hare. If speed of tom is one and one-third times that of the hare, find the distance eachtraveled before he caught the hare.

WE CAN EASILY FIND IT BY THE PYTHAGORAS
let the speed of the hare is x
then speed of tom is    4/3x
let the taken is t
so xt^2+250^2=4/3xt^2
so we can find the xt and 4/3xt from here
and the total distance(xt+4/3xt)travelled by them
