distance = speed * time

=>distance/speed = time.

let the speed of plane = x km/hr

695/21+x = time travelled with the wind......(1)

498/21-x = time travelled against the wind.....(2)

(1) and (2) are given to be the same..so..

695/21+x = 498/21-x.

Solving for x, we get

x ~= 3.46 km/hr.

Difficult to believe that a plane travels so slow! :)

695/(x+21)=498(x-21)

By solving the above eqution we get x=127.172 Km/hr.

x2=distance travelled by plane against wind (498Km)

v1=velocity of plane with wind
v2=velocity of plane against wind
w =velocity of d wind (21Kmph)
v=velocity of d plane

given,      t1=t2
          => x1 / v1 = x2 / v2
          => 695/v+21 = 498/v-21
          => 685/498   = v+21/v-21
          =>1193/197  = v/21
          =>v = (1193*21)/197

      Hence, v=127.1725Kmph

i calculate speed but it is very slow for plane in air
