Here is the solution :Let us suppose there are n no of people and intially ramesh has L amount hence going in right direction of ramesh distribution of sum ll be Ramesh Lhis Right L-1...Last Person L-(n-1)After first round distribution of amonut from Ramesh to right Ramesh L +n-1his right L-1 -1next L-2 -1...Last L-(n-1) -1it is clear from data that last person ll be out of money first .Let us suppose this happens after k rounds Hence distribution of amont after k rounds Ramesh L + k(n-1)his right L-1 -k....Last person L-(n-1) -k also given that L + k(n-1) = 4(L-1-k)and L-(n-1)-k=0 (last person has 0 money )solving these two eqution we ll have n =7/(3-k)now as n and k are +ive and whole no hence only one sloutionn=7 k=2 hence L=8 Hence there are 8 persons and Poorest person after 2 rounds ll be second last person with some = L-(n-2)-k=1
