total balls = 12 & select 1 , 12c1

Now, selecting blue ball successfully = 5c1

Now, selecting white ball successfully = 4c1

Now, probability of selecting blue or white = (5c1 + 4c1)/12c1 = 0.75

probability of picking a blue ball from the remaining balls is 5/12

probability of picking a white ball is 4/12

probability of either blue r white ball is (5/12)+(4/12)=9/12=3/4
