With Manual Testing the main drawbacks are time, funds and complexity. In manual testing we need more time and for more time we need more funds as well, and in current scenario the applications and softwares are going to be more complex. SO the main thing in manual testing is to be changed is using less time consuming techniques along with newer age tools.

Create some checklist for various kind of components so the problems faced earlier should be tested at least apart from all the new things a person going to test.

By testing your application every time thinking that its a new application and you are testing it for the first time. Making people realize that manual and automation are complementary.

Give importance more towards user scenario based testing no where automation can replace manual testing
