Heartbeat cluster is a program that runs specialized scripts automatically whenever a system is initialized or rebooted.This cluster allows clients to know about the presence (or disappearance!) of peer processes on other machines and to easily exchange messages with them. In this system the nodes communicate by exchanging packets called heartbeat.
