Here is an actual example from my current project.

We sell Parts globally. Each part is being sold at different price in different regions. Each part has different cost to the company in different regions(As logistics, suppliers exp vary regionwise). In our cube, we calculate margin for each part say Part A has 10% margin in US and same part as 15% in Europe. So now you want to calculate overall margin of this part. Can you add these two and divide by 2? answer is no. This margin is called as non-addtitive fact.
