Test Effort

You have been hired into a small company where a hot-shot developer serves as business analyst and project manager on top of his development duties. He has undermined your efforts to create a worthwhile test management process over the past month. He refused to provide requirements and specifications for the product and is now delivering the first build for you to test. How do you handle this situation?

Reason is not still clear why the BA/ProjectManager is failed to provide documented requirements. It could be either requirements are not freezed either its very rapid development approach where requirements changing based on intial prototypes behavior etc.

If there are no documented requirements/specifications then in that case based on  discussions or intial development build, tester should create testcases. Before executing these testcases on build, send testcases to BA (this person) for sign-off.

Thus there would be better understanding.
