One cannot access a system which is not in Lan or not in domain. Either one should add system to domain or use cross cabling if the system in out of lan or not in domain to directly access that system.

If the system is not in a part of domain, we can access through ip address. Give same ip range in both system and try to ping it. after reply from another system we can transfer data and informations

In Windows, use the "net use" cmd line. It will authenticate you by user rights.
