Nuetral point is useful. Bcoz the extra current flows to the ground. Ground is always at a higher polarity than the device. For example consider your instant heater. It always is a 3 pin plug point. Not only in heater seen in all costly devices. It doesnt mean you cannot work with 2 pin. You can work, but at times a small fault can damage your device.
