Probably a late answer now, but... Datastage TX a rebranding of the Mercator runtime(Event Server) application by the (then) owners Ascential.
Since then IBM have taken over Ascential, and the product rebranded yet again.... to... IBM Websphere Data Transformation Extender (or DTX).
In short, a transformation tool where you build 'maps' on Windows, that can then be ported to run (in conjunction with the command/launcher runtime environment - kind of like a JVM) on a number of platforms -  Windows, various flavours of Unix & Mainframe.
