Scope of analysis is a multidimensional analysis technique through which u can set the analysis upto one leveldown,two level down etc.

Scope of Analysis will retrieve additional objects from the database based upon your definition as one level, two levels or none. but these additional objects will not be displayed in the report result , these are only useful for quick anlaysis. before you define scope of analysis you have to set hiearchies with in the designer as your analysis mainly depends on hiearchies. by default scope of analysis is set to be None. this SOA will be available in Desktop as Well as webintelligence document...
