Filters in TestDirector are similar to that of filters available in other applications. You will use them to filter out for the required results.

Like you will only want to see passes tests or passed requirements etc.

Filters are used to customize and categorize the results.
For ex. if you want to view the defects opned by UserA and which are in OPEN status,
Click on the filter icon and then choose the appropriate fields and SET them.
You can also save this filters and make them "Public" or "Private".
