What is the difference between preemptive scheduling and time slicing

Preempitive scheduling is the policy of scheduling that preempt the execution of current process and thread. 
If a process is running and other process with higher priority comes then if policy followed is preempitive then CPU alloted to new process immediately. 
 
But in time slicing , some time slice is alloted for the processes and they execute in the sequence for the time alloted by the CPU until the completion of the job.
