let x and y be the current age of A and B respectivelybefore 10 years B's age=y-10 ans hence A's age after 10 years = x+10ie (x+10)=2(y-10)and x-y=9 (given)solving we get y=39 and 10 years later B's age=49

A=2(B-10)

 A~B =9   if A>B then A-B=9

            A=2(B-10) =2(A-9-10)
ie., A=38 and B=29. (After 10 Years), B=19. (Before 10 Years)

 if B>A then B-A=9            A=2(B-10) =2(A+9-10) ie., A=2 and B=11, B=1. (Before 10 Years)
