After receiving the build from the development team, and before starting the testing we have to perform the sanity testing which is also called as build verification testing. In sanity testing we will test the installation, launching of application and navigation through the given application. This is what we do after receiving the build from the development team.

Build acceptance testing will be done once a new build is released to testing team, and after accepting the build will go through the remaining testing.

Once we receive the build we do Somke Testing / Sanity / BVT. If this working fine then we'll start with actual Test execution.

  We can go for smoke testing to test whether the build is in a acceptable mode or not, and if i found any of the issues then will sent to dev team..

 If received the build again with fixes, then we will do the sanity testing..
