Every data warehouse key should be a surrogate key because the data warehouse DBA must have the flexibility to respond to changing descriptions and abnormal conditions in the raw data.

Surrogate key is know as datawarehouse key. Surrogate key is used as a unique key in warehouse where dupicate keys may exits due to type 2 changes.
