How do you retire an in house fixed asset in SAP when there is no revenue?

I am trying to retire fixed assets that have fully depreciated. Can I retire it by scrapping

If any fixed asset which is not generating revenues can retire by the following way:

First it should be written off by providing full depreciation and charge to profit and loss a/c

For example if asset value is 10000 and it is already depreciated by 8000 and now NBV of that asset is 2000 and now it is not generating any revenue so we decided to retire that asset so we have to written of remaining value of 2000 and charge to P/L a/c. when that asset is sold or destroyed then it will be removed from FA register. profit or loss on sale of asset shall be charged to P/L a/c.
