The bill for a meal was 2400.they decided to split evenly but two of them didnt have money. So the rest had to pay rs. 100 per head extra. How Many were they ?

There were 8 members on the whole. As such each should pay 300 each to distribute the bill evenly among themselves but as two were not having money the rest 6 members will pay 400 each.

2400/x-2 - 2400/x=100

x^2-2x-48=0

x=8 Ans.
