The question says:

A Block = 3/4 of a block + 3/4 of a pound. Find the weight of a block.

Let the weight of the block be X,

therefore X = 3/4X + 3/4 Pound

X - 3/4X = 3/4 Pound

1/4X = 3/4 Pound

X = 3/4 * 4 Pound

X =  3 Pounds. Weight of a block is 3 Pounds.
