Since within the short time it is impossible to check each and every aspect of the application. We have to check which functionality is most important, most visible to the user and which has largest safety impact. This should be considered first when the testing duration is decreased.

Apply the Risk Analysis method.

1.Find out the test cases which is risk to the application.

2. Find out the test case which is not risk to the application but customer point of view very important.

3.Short out priority basic all the test case.

When the testing period is reduced its impossible in writing the functionality test cases and so we should concentrate  on systemtesting by excuting system test case.We should also concentrate on error messages and warning messages are displayed or not

In such a scenario,

First Step - Is to discuss with client if the budget can be increased to introduce more testers and complete the testing in 2 months.

Second Step- If step 1 is not acceptable, then perform risk analysis and find out the test cases that impact the business the most. Perform functional testing.

Risk analysis plays a vital role in this regard.Use risk analysis to determine where testing should be focused. This requires judgment skills, common sense and experience. Which functionality is most important to the project's intended purpose? Which functionality is most visible to the user? Which functionality has the largest safety impact? Which functionality has the largest financial impact on users? Which aspects of the application are most important to the customer?

In such cases one has to go for Risk based testing. Testing team should ask or discuss with client about re-prioritizing therequirements again. Now depending on the priorities a percent of the whole test cases should be run in the 2 months period.

First you need to rework on the test plan according to the new requirements, identify the changes in the requirements and plan accordingly. Just Finish the task , thats all simple
