I am a doing Electronics and Communication Engineering from Bharti
Vidyapeeth's college of Engineering, New Delhi.
I had gone through TCS campus recruitment last week and got selected..
This is how it was...

1) Written Round :
3 sections:
a) Verbal Ability (Vocabulary and Comprehension) - there was no sectional cut
off. A bit tough, dont get nervous just attempt all questions.
b) Aptitude - Quite easy question on maths in simple reasoning, data
sufficiency, etc. need not study anything for this... you'd clear this easily.
c) Critical Reasoning - There are 250 questions given in book Barons... just do
those and your written is over.

2) Technical Interviews:
Look guys the only thing TCS people are looking for is your positive attitude.
So you know any answer or not, just dont get nervous. Tell them "I dont know
Sir/Ma'am".
Question I asked were related to Software Engg, Communication Systems, C++
Others were asked about digital circuits and systems, DBMS, OS, etc.
But nothing in a greater detail than you already know. so don't worry TCS
interview is a fun thing...
In your CV, write only what you know and can explain. Software Engineering is
quite important...
Always bear in mind that you dont need to have capability, you need to be
useful.
So bring out your positive in your interview. study d company profile properly.
And remember you dont have anything to lose, only to gain, just be confident.

3) HR and MR:
Well though techincally HR and MR are different, but in case of TCS they are
quite similar.
I had these two together.
As in case of tech, here also you dont need to worry. just go there, be
positive, and have fun.
they'll ask you questions like:
Tell about yourself,
Why TCS,
Why IT company,
Your strengths,
Your weakness,
(Tell something that in turn brings out your positive, like i said that I get
impatient to see the work not done properly, I also said rich food is my
weakness. HR was quite amused to hear that), qualities of a leader, how can you
motivate your subordinates, etc.
Beware, they may ask you tech questions in HR or MR also. so don't get
frightened. Just relax n do what they ask for. As I said they are not looking
for some who is exceptionally talented, They are looking for someone who is
useful to them, and confident to carry out properly the work assigned.
Remember that you cannot improve your tech knowledge in a given day, but you can
atleast carry your positive attitude and that is all that matters atleast in
companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, HCL, etc. so just chill out and relax.
you'll b selected.
