1. 4 cubes (of  2 side which is painted red).

2. 8 cubes (of 3 sides which is painted black ).

3 0 .( red and black already seperated).

Total 1000 small unit cubes.

The 2nd column of the total cubes has been removed. So, they are painted red.

Remaining cubes which are present are painted black.

Out of the removed 2nd column layer of 6 faces, the front, its opposite, top and bottom coincides. So totally 4 cubes has more than one surface red.

So, total 8 corners of the cube has 3 surfaces painted black.

As the removed layer is painted red and non-removed layer is painted black, cubes having faces painted with black and red is zero.
