The square side is 15m and the rope is of 14m.When the goat is tied up with the rope of 14m then it can make a semicircle of radius 14m.so calculating the area of the half semicircle and subtracting from the area of a square we can get the area it can graze.

Area of half semicrcle(sector) = (angle it makes between the two sides/360)*(22/7)*r*r

Area of square = side*side

area it graze = area of square - area of half semicirlce.

area the goat can graze on is one fourth the area of circle with radius 14m. the area which the goat can not graze upon is subracting the quarter area of circle from the area of square.

sol.

area it can graze= 1/4(pi*14*14)

area it cannot graze= 15*15-(1/4(pi*14*14)

pi=22/7= 3.14
