I think it will meet 11 trains (including the train that starts at 6'o clock from washington) when the NY train reaches there.

let the train start at 1:00 , it will reach the station at 6:00 , at 3:30 it will see 1st train the train which our train has seen has also travelled 21/2 hrs so 6 trains will be in queue now by the time our train reaches 6th another 5 trains come on to track if we count train ready to move total no.of trains our train met will be equal to 11

yes the ans is 21 only.1.00 clock train from newyork met the train8am to 6 pm trains from washington.u r all seeing only from 1.00 o clock train.there r also train b4 1 o clock tat is 12.30,12.00,1.30,1.00.............
