TATA ELXSI: Campus test held at Shimoga on 27/05/05.

Today Tata Elxsi had come for campus placement at JNNCE, Shimoga.

First part was technical reading comprehension. Ten questions had to be answered in 25 minutes. This was damn easy.

Next part was technical paper. It was pretty easy.

Some questions-

There were 4 circuits with diodes and we had to identify which one of them works as AND gate.

A circuit was given and we had to find current thro  a resistor.

To know the polarity of voltage across a resistor we should know-
a.      value of resistor.
b.      Direction of current flow.
c.          (forgot the options)

use of emitter follower ckt.
a.for impedance matching.
b.Power amplifier.
C.low input impedance.

Main reason for using TTL schotkey-
a.noise immunity.
(don’t remember the rest of the options)

small prg of 8085 was given and was asked to find number of T states.

Fwd resistance and load of a ckt was given and asked to find the output voltage.

Characteristics of Op-amp.

And another question was also on Op-amp.

(That’s all I remember.)

Next section was analytical and mental ability.

I fared badly in this. analytical was tough. In mental ability questions were from Edgar Thrope. There was one question on decision making.
