let the incomes be

300 and 400 rs\- respectively

then savings of c=1/4thof income=75 rs/-

i.e,c is spending225rs/-

given that the ratio of expence=4:5

so d  isspending let it be x then 225:x=4:5

we get x=1125/4

so d saving=400-1125/4=475/4

ratio of savings=75:475/4

=>12:19

incomes:3:4

expenditures:4:5

3x-4y=1/4(3x)

12x-16y=3x

9x=16y

y=9x/16

(3x-4(9x/16))/((4x-5(9x/16)))

ans:12/19

It is 5/8 for C/D

C and D earns 300 and 400 bucks
C saves 1/4 that is 75 bucks which 4/5 so D saves 120 bucks
so 75/120 bucks = 5/8

Incomes of C & D = 3x and 4x respectively
Savings of C = 3/4x and savings of D = y

then, 3x - 3/4x = 4
         4x - y      = 5

solving,  y = 19/16x

ratio of savings of C & D = 3/4x
                                          19/16x

                                       = 12/19

Income of C = 3x & Income of D = 4x. Expenditure of C = 4y & Expenditure of D = 5y. By the problem, 3x – 4y = 3x * ¼ =>12x – 16y = 3x => 16y = 9x => y = 9x/16. Required ratio = (3x – 4y) : (4x – 5y) = 12 : 19.

Answer: 1:2
say the incomes of c and d are 1200 and 1600 per 3:4,
Savings of c= 1200/4= 300. So expenditure of c= 800.
expenditure of c : expenditure of d = 4:5
800/x=4/5
x(expenditure of d)= 1000.
Savings of d=600
Savings of c: savings of D = 300:600
1:2
