Infosys Interview Experiance by Deva on May 31st 2005

Hi freinds, Thanks for you hearty congrats,i am getting huge emails from the infy aspirants,unfortunatle,i could not reply to all the emails, about my infy experience.So i am here sending this wonderful experience to you. I did take the aptitude test on 17th of April 2005 at chennai infy and it is for experienced(1+years) professionals and not for freshers.Actually my cv  is forwarded by one of my friend who is working in ifny chennai.After clearing the test,very next day i took technical and HR interview. About Aptitude Test : Basically most of the questions from the old infy papers only.Please try to understand the solution schemes from Sakundaladevi puzzles,George summers puzzles and RS agarwal.If you know the concept to approach the questions,it will give you lot of chances to get into infy.Please write the solution scheme neatly in your working papers.It gives you the additinal value when u take up interview.My suggestions is to understand the most of questions from old infy papers.You may be asked same type of questions with some variable values.please clearly see the numerical values before start answering.please follow the above step and surely it will fetch you from infy. About Interview:   Firsr i took technical interview,it was nice expericence for me.I was in the development from June 2001 to Apr 2004 after that i been changed to Networking implementaion.Interview panel had two member is it and they asked me brief about my self and family background.After that asked me to brief the the project which i have taken during my development period.It was went on well.They did not asked anything much more technical and they testing your ability and attirude.Please be firm and honest.   After clearing techncial interview, i have neen pushed to HR interview.HR persons asked me the same questions which have been asked by technical persons.Then,she asked about my notice period ,i argued with her for notice period for one month.I was in the need of one month of notice period.Finally she said that she will consider.Nothing difficult.I  have been told by them to wait for 3- 4 weeks for result. After one weeks time,my friend told me that my profile is shorlisted for offer.bcos she only forwarded my profile,so she can view my profile status any time.After getting status from my friend,it took them 4 weeks to communicate me. Please be honest and confident,nothing will go wrong. I will try to send you the aptitude questions in the next email. All the best for everyone!!!!!!!!!!!! Deva

Hi DevaMy name is Mohan. I sat for the Infy test on Nov 27th 2005 in Bangalore and faced an interview on 29th. I had only one round of technical interview and since I am from a multimedia background, they asked me basic questions on that. They asked me to wait for another round and later told me that the HR would get back to me in 2-3 weeks time. So unlike you, I didnt have a HR round. Does that mean I have been rejected? Or do you know someone who has had to face only one round and has been given the offer?Thanks a lot for your mail...Mohan

Hi DevaMy name is Sudhakar. I sat for the Infy test on April 16th 2006 in Hyderabad and faced an interview on 17th. I had only one round of technical interview . later they told me that the HR would get back to me in 2-3 weeks time. So unlike you, I didnt have a HR round. Does that mean I have been rejected? Or do you know someone who has had to face only one round and has been given the offer?Reply me plss.

Hi Deva, Mohan,Sudhakar and all Infosys aspirants,

I have a puzzle, please respond for it. I have attended for Infosys Interview with experience on Apr21-2006 in HYD. On 28 i have received call from HR and informed me that i have selected thru interview and i did not have any HR interview and i may get call to receive offer letter within 2 days. It is already 2weeks over. But not yet recieved any call from HR. When i asks her about the same she says you will receive with in short, Dot worry, Its not an issue. They may call today evening.. tomarrow morning.. like that. I dont know wether it is true or not.

My profile has been forwarded through one of my friend, he is checking the status of my profile every day and saying not yet updated any status. If it is rejected it will be updated immediatley, if it is not updated means it has been shortlisted.

But i have another offer pending, i am keeping them on hold as Infosys is a big MNC. I did not receive any call from them except the one[HR] who arranged interview for me. I know it takes 2-3 weeks process in Infosys. It is already 3 weeks completed. Can u please suggest me what to do in this situation. Can i expect offer from Infosys. Is anyone there that have selected without HR round.

hai deva I wrote the infy exam on 24th of Sep 2006 I was selected & i had an interview on 25th Sep now i got a call for HR interview can u suggest me how to prepare & how to present myself in th e interview Interview is in next week. I need ur help!

hai deva I wrote the infy exam on 24th of Sep 2006 I was selected & i had an interview on 25th Sep now i got rejection letter from the recruitment team stating that after careful review my profile has been rejected. I am a 2005 passed out. This is my second attempt. First time, I had failed in written test. This time, I have failed in what? I donot know. I donot leave it. This is my dream job and company. I will apply third time after 9 months. What do you feel about this? Can you give some suggestions?
