Hi,Can Informatica power center 7.1.1 installed on Windows vista home premium? If so how to install informatica server and repository server?Thank you,Vamshi.

But i could not find an option windows xp service pack 2 after right clicking on setup.exe of informatica powercenter 7.1.1, still the error is continuing if i try to execute setup.exe ...can anyone come up with the solution

Hi, I installed informatica powercenter 7.1 in my laptop and i can even open repository server console. But now for connecting to the repository it is asking for a password.Can any one specify which port and password should i specify for connecting to the repository.

Hi these two tables are coming from different oracle data bases we can use joiner transformatin to join them if there if is no relation we can join based on datatypes

Import these two tables from source one by one. Then drag to source screen.Then by the common field of both the tables just drag from one table to another table.

Informatica PowerCenter repository server configuration error - "the server could not contact" message
Hi, This is Ram working as a system administrator I had installed the Informatica PowerCenter 7.1.1 and when i was configuring the repository server it is giving "the server could not contact" message, I never faced this problem before pls anybody had any solution pls send to me as early as possible i tried all the possible ways to solve this problem but i could not get it so pls help me in this regard.

At the time of configuring the repository server just give the port number is 5001 and put a passwordThen start the service first then open the repository server administrator console.Just connect it ...

Staging area is temporary area used by ETL to do "Transformation" process. It could be anything, namely database, flat file, memory (cache), complex file, etc. In ETL, there's minimal 3 area: Source, Staging, Target (DW/DM).

Both are two versions.But in Infromatica 8x its possible to integrate java program but Its not possible in Informatica 7x to integrate java programs.

If possible using Lookup will give better performance over joiner.Using lookup we can perform outer joins, equi, and non equi joins.Using joiner we can perform only equi joins.In lookup we can also write SQL ovverrides.
